‘One family united in Christ to be the best we can be’

Covid-19

Dear Parents,

We have uploaded the remote learning timetable to support you with the structure of home learning. Our remote learning offer comprises: live learning, as live pre-recorded lessons, 3 x Collective Worship delivered weekly, well-being lessons, pre-recorded story telling for all key stages and a full compliment of foundation subjects including R.E, French, PE and Music. All lessons have hard pack copies available.

We are using the Seesaw platform to upload work and to give quality feedback and marking to all children. This is also supplemented with Epic Reader, Times Tables RockStars, Bug Club and Oxford Owl.

We have carefully designed and developed this blended learning approach to support ALL children regardless of accessibility to devices or broadband.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any worries or concerns. We are here to support you and your children and together we will navigate these challenging times.

Mrs Miller.

Did you know you can access the internet including the school learning platform, Seesaw, using a games console.

The key details are as follows:

  3. Find and select Microsoft Edge.
  4. Navigate to your online learning platform.

PlayStation

  1. Identify the PlayStation internet browser icon (WWW with dots around it).
  2. Press the PlayStation logo on the controller.
  3. Go to the library and find options for games and applications.
  4. Go to applications and you will find the internet browser.
  5. Navigate to your online learning platform and log in as usual.

DID YOU KNOW:

As well as accessing Google Classroom via a games console, you can also access remote learning via a Smart TV. See the link for instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vqbCot5K3E

Also, if you have an iPhone or iPad you actually have a scanner! Student work can be scanned by using the ‘Notes App’. Open a new note, press the camera button, the option to scan document will pop up. Once the document is scanned you can email it easier than a photo, plus you can add notes to the scanned document. Give it a go, it is really easy to use.
