Attendance

For full details of our Attendance policy please look under policies.

Exceptional leave of absence in term time

You have to get permission from the Head teacher if you want to take your child out of school during term time. Parent request forms are available from the school office. Please note, leave of absence is only granted in exceptional circumstances at the Headteachers discretion.

You must complete an application to the Head teacher 4 weeks in advance (as a parent the child normally lives with). Please note the majority of applications will be unauthorised. Absences will only be authorised if there are exceptional circumstances. The full policy details this.

Please note it is up to the Head teacher as to how many days your child can be away from school if leave is granted. Full details can be obtained from the Office.

You will be fined for taking your child out of school during term time without the school's permission.

School trips

School trips are an enriching part of the Curriculum and bring a topic to life for the children. Unfortunately it is not always possible to cover the cost of these activities from school funds, therefore we sometimes ask parents for a voluntary contribution. If there are insufficient voluntary contributions to make the trip viable it will be cancelled. However, we do not wish any children to be excluded for financial reasons and so parents who have difficulty in making a voluntary contribution are invited to speak in confidence to the Head teacher.
