St. Mary's Catholic Primary School follows the National Curriculum.  Further information can be found following the link below.

National Curriculum what does it mean.

We believe that it is important for our pupils to not only learn what is in the curriculum but to ensure that it is as creative as possible. Our school planning ensures creative, challenging and engaging learning linking objectives and tasks in an interesting and understandable way. All group of pupils are planned for to ensure they all have challenging tasks to engage all learners.

The whole school every week works towards 'Show Off Friday' with the children learning the skills throughout the week that they will need to complete end of the week tasks. These include a writing task, mental maths tasks through 'Big Maths' and wider thinking 'BAM' (Build a Mathematician) tasks. Some examples of these can be seen below.

We also believe the learning enviroment, WOW days, visitors and external visits play a key role in supporting the delivery of the curriculum again you can see examples of this below.

For more specific year group coverage please look on the individual class pages found under the 'Our School' tab.
